Rally for the Cure
Since 1996, more than 35,000 volunteer Ambassadors have helped Komen and their nationwide Affiliates fund life-saving community breast cancer programs and research to find cures for breast cancer. These passionate, dedicated Ambassadors have also helped educate more than 2 million people about their breast health and breast cancer. Rally is helping to advance Komen’s Bold Goal to reduce current breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the U.S. by 2026.
Rally for the Cure is a grassroots program using golf, tennis and other social programs to raise more than $80 million for Komen-funded breast cancer research and local breast cancer community programs nationwide. As of 2017, management of the Rally program operates from Susan G. Komen®’s national headquarters, located in Dallas, TX.
Planning your Rally Event
You choose a date and activity to Rally around. Invite your friends, family and community to participate. Spread the word. It’s that simple! Rally provides all the materials you need to host an event. You will soon be able to shop for everything from visors and shirts, to pin flags and water bottles, to posters and pom poms from the Rally for the Cure online store. (Rally store will open soon.)
Beginning May 1, 2017, Rally for the Cure will no longer require a $20 registration fee to participate. As a result, all funds donated at a Rally for the Cure are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law! Also, to improve efficiency, all event Ambassadors can register their event at our new rallyforthecure.com website and select whether they would like their fundraising dollars to support the local Komen NEPA affiliate or Komen’s national headquarters.
